D.I.Y.: Body Scrub

Hey Everybody. Long time no see! I am really, really sorry about that, it’s just that I’ve had a really busy time at school these past days.

But my Thesis are now finally over, and I am sooo looking forward for the Winter break.

Today I want to make you stop paying tons of money on the Body Scrubs you buy at the Supermarket.

1.

Coffee is not only good for waking you up. It is really useful in the Beauty Industry as well, as we all already know.

After you finish drinking your coffee, don’t throw the remaining grounds away! Place them from the cup to a larger jar, so that you’ll be able to take it out easily. After doing that, pour some olive oil in the jar. It doesn’t have to be much, but just make sure that the olive oil covers every single grain of coffee. After that, just close the jar and place it in your bathroom, and you’re done! You’ll feel your skin so much softer even after first using the body scrub that you made yourself. Trust me, I know! I tried this myself and I can say I never have a shower without scrubbing my body with that anymore!

2.

Another body scrub you can make yourself is one using corn flour. Just make sure that the corn flour that you have or buy isn’t as smooth as regular flour.

I haven’t tried mixing corn flour with olive oil, so I don’t know how that would go. What I did was I placed some corn flour in a recipient that I kept in my bathroom, and everytime I wanted to use it I would just grab some and mix it with some shower gel.

This second bosy scrub works pretty well too, but you can’t compare the two, since the olive oil in the first really makes a difference!

I hope you enjoyed, and that you try either one of them. Let me know what you think.

I really hope I’ll be able to post more in the coming days, so See you soon!

Take Care!

Fall Fashion

Hello there!

I know that the first month of the Fall is almost already gone, but I still felt ike doing a Fall Fashion Post.

Therefore, let’s get into it.

MUST HAVES (In my opinion):

1. Leather Jacket.

A good Leather Jacket for the Fall is like the flowy, girly dresses of the summer. You can’t not have them!

This piece is very versatile. You can either make it day appropriate, by pairing it with some skinny jeans, (a must-have for all the year round), a chiffon top(which we’re going to be talking about a bit later), and some heel-less booties, OR, you can wear it at night, at a dinner party, or just a girls’ night out, by pairing it with a little black dress and some sexy heels!

If you are an animal lover, like me, you would probably want to go for a faux leather jacket, which is still great, even though we can all agree that real leather can last you longer.

ImageI found this particular one on ASOS (Link here: http://www.asos.com/Muubaa/Muubaa-Leather-Inya-Biker-Jacket/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2387877&SearchQuery=leather%20jacket&Rf-700=1000&sh=0&pge=1&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Tundra )

2. Military Jacket

It may seem like a lot of Jackets, but you could probably go through the entire fall season with these two only (speaking of outerwear)

To me, if Summer is all about short, little, flowy, girly dresses, or about showing off our legs in those shorts (because we can), Fall is about bringing out that tough side of ours. It’s like waking the hibernating bear up. It’s all about experimenting, and about being able to go through all these fases (Just like actors!).

And still, if you’re not excited about rediscovering yourself once with the fall comming, you can also make the transitioning a bit slower, even though it will still happen anyways!

Both ways, you need a military jacket to help you wake that bear inside of you up!

This particular one is from TopShop (Link here: http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33057&storeId=12556&productId=5749499&langId=-1&categoryId=&searchTerm=military%20jacket&pageSize=20 )

3. Chiffon shirts

If there’s one girly thing I would keep in my fall wardrobe, then that would be Chiffon!

Chiffon shirts are just so great because of the light-weight texture they have, making them perfect for layering, since they won’t make you feel overdressed!

They are also perfect for the ‘Back to School’, or ‘Back to Work’, for some of you, since it can become vary business-like when paired with the right pieces.

If you will choose to pick one of these up (Great choice, by the way), then I suggest you to look for small details on them, because I’ve always said that it’s the small details that make THE difference!

I found this one on the H&M website (Link here: http://www.hm.com/gb/product/03462?article=03462-A )

4. Booties

Of course, we can’t forget about our well-beloved feet that have walked us in wonderful places all summer long, while having to wear some damn-high heels!

We have to find a way to pay them back, don’t we?

And what better way is there than buying them some awesome booties to be kept warm in during the windy fall?

Either if you are a busy working person, who has to move around a lot, and who prefers being comfy, or if you’re that risk-taking cheeky girl who would rock those heels for the rest of her life, we can find alternatives for both of you!

First of all, The ‘Comfy Chic’, for those Heel-less Romantics! (Get it? Hopeless-Heelless? No? Oh, well…)

Here we will be talking about that military, edgy side again.

ImageAren’t these amazing? I found them on UrbanOg.com (Link Here: http://www.urbanog.com/Native-11-Lace-Up-Military-Bootie_100_25953.html )

And if you can find some studded ones, then even better!

Image Oh, my! These ones are from the same website (Link here: http://www.urbanog.com/Bamboo-Rascal-01-Studded-Lace-Up-Military-Mid-Calf-Boot_100_25939.html )

For the heel lovers, there are some stunning ones waiting for you in the boutique two streets away! (Joking… it’s three streets away! No again? Oh, I should stop trying to make jokes)

These ones are also perfect for school or work, since they are not too dramatically high. I found them on UrbanOg.com (Link here: http://www.urbanog.com/Qupid-Nadine-67-Lace-Up-Oxford-Bootie_116_25394.html )

These ones, however, are gorgeously high!

And, who cares about the school rules, anyways? I would go to the moon and back with these!

Now, even though Fall is about neutrals, and making yourself ‘one with the nature’, a little pop of colour is always ‘bienvenue’.

You can still wear those hot pink pants if you want to, but most of us will probably choose to settle for something a bit smallar, such as ‘sneak peaks’ of pops of colour.

You can either do this by playing with the bra that you are wearing underneath a sheer blouse, or by wearing colourful accesories, if you’re not confident enough for the first choice.

Same concept works for the leopart or any other kind of prints and patterns.

Speaking of accessories…

5. Statement necklaces

These are some perfect versatile pieces that can either dress an outfit up or down.

This particular one is from Etsy (Link here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/109358448/sweet-pink-bubble-statement-necklace-bib?ref=sr_gallery_5&ga_includes%5B%5D=tags&ga_search_query=statement+necklace&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery ) and it is a pretty comparable ‘dupe’ for the famous House of Harlow one:

The next item would be:

6. A cozy scarf!

This is a great piece for transitioning too, since you can even wear it with shorts without having anyone looking suspisious at you.

Chunky scarves are perfect to be worn around the neck on windy days, with either that leather or military jacket!; But, however, thinner scarves are perfect to be tied around the straps of your daily bag. This is another witty way to add a subtle pop of colour/print!

These you can find anywhere and pretty much anything works!

I now have to go but I hope I helped at least a bit. I am waiting for you to comment and tell me your honest opinion. Also, if you have any questions, I will gladly and kindly reply to all of them!

Good bye beauties and have a good day!

THE Story.

Ok, so even though I know there are still not a lot of readers, it’s O.K. since it is mostly my fault, because the only two posts I’ve written were probably not good enough, or not eye-catching enough for people to want to become addicted to this blog of mine.

But even though I’m not really expecting for any of you to actually reply, I really wanted to ask you guys a few things, like ‘What does the word ‘Fashion’ mean to you?’

If you would have asked me this question a few years ago, I would have probably said it is something superficial, and I would have blamed it for the days when I saw people on the streets dressed alike or even wearing the same outfits.

Now, however, I wouldn’t probably be able to express how I feel towards this Industry even if I had 10.000 words available to fill an essay page up with; but I will try to: To me, Fashion has opened an entire new world, a world of possibilities I have never know before, a world I never thought it even existed, a world that I would perfectly fit in. Or, at least, the world that I hope to one day conquer.

Fashion has become such a huge part of my life now, I am part of so many activities and websites, and I am planning on so much more! I can’t even believe it! I spend 99% of the time I surf the internet searching for Fashion or Beauty-related stuff, since I personally see these two Industries as bein a hole unit

Fashion has woke up some really bright and incandescent desires and dreams inside me that can not wait to be accomplished! Now, whenever I think of Fashion and my future plans, I feel like a Hairspray Tube sitting next to the fire.

I get so nervous, and so emotional everytime I think of it, because these questions keep coming inside of my head : ‘Am I really fit for this?’ ‘Will I really succeed?’

And what’s even more weird is that I get so passionate about it every single time, but… besides all the amazing and beautiful people here, on the internet, there’s no one to get excited over it with. That’s because I have actually never told any of my friends what my future plans are. I mean, they kinda know something, but it was only this past summer when I decided that Fashion must become a part of my life, and not only a hobby, so they don’t exactly know where I’m heading to…

You would probably find it kinda sad… I find it sad too, now that I think about it, but the truth is that I did have the chance to tell them about my ‘Passion for Fashion‘, but I just… I didn’t want to. I was scared, and I am still scared of the possible ‘This doesn’t suit you’ or ‘Just quit already, you weren’t made for this’ as replies from them.

There’s also this kind of annoying side of me that doesn’t want anyone to copy her. Like, I’ve had times when I would talk about the things that I want to do, and the people around me would start wanting the same things. It’s actually not this that really bothers me, but the fact that they might be able to get it sooner than me. Isn’t this frustrating? it is, to me…

But besides that, Fashion, and everything it involves, is an art to me. A beautiful, inspiring, gorgeous, creative art. It is like a new way of expressing myself/yourself. It can even be seen as something that could tie us all together, can’t it?

To me, the clothes I would wear when I left the house would be the ones to bring me confidence throught the day. They would be as important to me as Makeup is to some people, since I haven’t, and I still don’t wear a lot of makeup, even though I love experimenting from time to time.

These things, the things that seemed annoying and superficial to that kid that I used to call ‘Me’, would get to be ones of the most important things ever, ones of the things that allow me to dream and shine, ones of the things that would set me free, ones of the things that I really got to love…

So, What does Fashion mean to you?

This is Me.

Still Me

Just a simple girl aspiring to being known in this whole wide world. 🙂

OK, so… I felt that I should first of all let you all know who I am. Actually, I don’t know if I’m going to be able to do that, since I don’t really know who I am myself. I’m currently facing that hard time of the human’s life when he has to figure it all out by himself. And I have the faith I will too, someday.

I do, however, have something that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life, and that is My Dream. It may sound stupid or pointless to many of the people out there, but I try not to care. Not anymore.

This dream of mine is a bit harder to explain in words. If I could, I would simply let you inside of my head, to take a peek of what I want my future to look like. Anyways, since this isn’t possible… yet, I’ll try to explain to you in a few words.

So, I’m going to graduate from the highschool I’m currently going to. I’m going to take a scholarship to study somewhere in America, Japan or Korea, since I have always been in love with these places. However, America is still the most reliable choice, because I still have a long way to go until I completely learn the other two languages.

Anyways, I am going to go to College and live my life as a student to the fullest. Meanwhile, I plan on starting my life as a ‘Fashion Guru’ on Youtube, and find a place to work in that would also help me gain some experience within the Fashion Industry.

I become a worldwide known stylist, I get to work with popular and respectable celebrities, and maybe even Kpop stars! Haha. I also get to one day have my own Magazine.

There are a few more things besides, but this is mostly how I’d like my future to look like. How cool is that? Haha =D

Well, I promised to myself that I’ll work as hard as I need to in order to accomplish my dreams, and I surely will !
Thank you for taking your time to read this, and if you want to, you can tell me about your dreams! I’d be more than happy to hear it!
